Actions Speak Louder Than Words

unityofpittsburgh

“Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.”

This quotation has been attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi, a 13th-century Italian friar who assumed a life of poverty and simplicity while preaching the teachings of Jesus. Our message this Sunday will focus on action steps; what can we do to contribute to a spiritually awakened world that is flowing with Divine Love?

Francis’s inspiring guide points will be interwoven with Unity’s metaphysical principles to provide a framework that supports a positive and practical approach to daily life.

“It is the law of Spirit that we must be that which we would draw to us.

If we would draw to us love, we must be love, be loving and kind;

if we would have peace and harmony in our environment,

we must establish it within ourselves.” - Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore

UNITY PRINCIPLES

God is the source and creator of all; there is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.

We are spiritual beings created in God's image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good.

We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.

Through prayer and meditation, we increase our conscious contact with God, bringing forth love, wisdom, health, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough; we must live them!
