An Enlightened View of Sin - Dr. Doug Knueven

For most people raised in the Judeo-Christian tradition, sin is a four-letter word. For example, I was taught that if I were to commit too many of the wrong kinds of sins, I could end up in the bad place for eternity. After all, sinners are evil! But maybe mainstream religions have an incomplete understanding of the nature of sin. Maybe sinners (that includes all of us) are not bad people after all. Maybe they just “missed the mark.” With the help of the Edgar Cayce readings, let’s dive into this thorny subject, maybe shed some guilt, and see if we can emerge with a clearer sense of the Divine. UNITY PRINCIPLES

God is the source and creator of all; there is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.

We are spiritual beings created in God's image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good.

We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.

Through prayer and meditation, we increase our conscious contact with God, bringing forth love, wisdom, health, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough; we must live them!
