Blessed Are the Peacemakers: The Practice of Forgiveness - Rev. Patti Perhacs

Conflict, whether within ourselves or with others, can leave deep wounds of resentment and sorrow over time. In this message, we will reflect on spiritual teachings and the importance of forgiveness as an expression of compassionate love toward others and ourselves. As we consider our daily “trespasses”, we will understand the need to shape forgiveness into an ongoing practice—one that restores harmony and opens the way to a peaceful mind and heart.

Blessed are the humble, the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. — Jesus, Matthew 5

Leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother. — Jesus, Matthew 5:23–24

As above, so below; as within, so without. — Hermetic Law

Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a permanent attitude. — Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Music by Meg Rayne - Meg will be leading a special healing meditation after service!

UNITY PRINCIPLES

God is the source and creator of all; there is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.

We are spiritual beings created in God's image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good.

We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.

Through prayer and meditation, we increase our conscious contact with God, bringing forth love, wisdom, health, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough; we must live them!
