The ability to change our lives for the better is a foundational principle of Unity and many other spiritual communities. Numerous biblical verses support this. Among them is Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed by the world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...” The world and life circumstances do not have to control us. ABOUT DOROTHY:

Dorothy Washington is a retired educator. She worked for Pittsburgh Public Schools for 35 years as a teacher and school counselor. Dorothy was introduced to metaphysics

through the Daily Word and other Unity publications. She joined Unity Center of Pittsburgh in 2001 and has been an active member ever since. Dorothy is an ongoing student of Vince Lisi of Now Creations where she participates in spiritual book studies and workshops.
